Square Dance Survival Course & Kid's Class

We will be hosting a Square Dance Survival Course followed by a Square Dance Class for Kid's, sponsored by CCHA, every 2nd and 4th Saturday, starting March 8th 2014. If you are a current dancer, whether attending your first class or already dancing with clubs, the Square Dance Survival Course is designed to improve your skills. We will look at Styling, Foundation Calls, Multiple-positions, Recovery techniques, and have a ball doing it! Focused instruction.

The kid's course is designed for kid's -- no experience required. The Square Dance activity needs youth and all the energy they can bring, so bring them out! Let them discover what great fun it can be!

Where: Lake Elsinore Animal Shelter, 33751 Mission Trail, Wildomar, CA 92595  (Map)

Time: 2nd & 4th Saturdays: CANCELLED

Survival Course 12:30 pm

Kid's Class 2:00 pm

Class Cancelled Indefinitely
CCHA has decided to cancel the class. If you are interested in attending other classes or square dance events, please let us know.

Square Dancing

I started calling regularly in 1989 and gave it up for other things in life at the end of 1999. Now, we're back to dancing, and I'm ready to continue calling.

Pickin' & Grinnin'

Playing Bluegrass, Standards, and Folk Tunes, has always been a passion. These days there isn't nearly enough time to practice, but I still love to get together with friends to play.

Arm Turns -- Easy as Pie Sunday, 24 March 2013 17:57 I think the key to success at a club dance is to have a solid foundation with the Basics along with the ability to listen, trust, and react to directions from the caller. Most of the time these “directions” are simply the calls, but it has become increasingly fashionable for guest callers to alter the calls in some manner in order to provide more interest. Is there an unspoken assumption that a program’s calls cannot stand alone?
Dancer Mind Control Sunday, 24 March 2013 12:33 As much as we like to believe we are free to think and act as we choose, there is evidence to suggest that mind control is running rampant in the square dance activity! How do you avoid becoming a victim, without quitting and walking away?
